What counts as an email

An email is one message accepted over SMTP or the API, up to 50 recipients. It is counted when it is queued, not when it is delivered, so delivery retries never add usage. Mail refused at submission, for example by the content screen, is not counted.

What it costs

Emails a month Plan Monthly cost
Up to 2,000, at most 75 a day Free $0
Up to 50,000 Paid $5
100,000 Paid $10
250,000 Paid $25
1,000,000 Paid $100

Paid is $5 a month with 50,000 emails included per billing cycle. Beyond that each email costs $0.0001, which is $0.10 per 1,000. Paid sending is never capped.

Limits on every plan

  • Messages up to 10 MB, with up to 50 recipients each.
  • Sending only from domains you have verified with DNS records.
  • Transactional mail only: no newsletters, campaigns or purchased lists. See the Terms.

Questions

What happens when a free workspace reaches its limit?

Further mail is refused until the UTC day or month resets: SMTP answers 451, a temporary failure your client can retry, and the API answers 429 with Retry-After. Upgrading lifts the cap at once.

How is paid billing handled?

By Polar. You subscribe from the Billing page in the dashboard, invoices and payment details live on Polar, and you can cancel any time; the plan stays active to the end of the paid cycle.

Do you offer dedicated IPs?

Yes, on the Dedicated plan: your mail leaves from a pool no other customer uses, warmed up with you. Write to [email protected] with your volume.

Can I send marketing email?

No. Viesti is built for mail a recipient expects because of something they did, like a receipt or a sign-in link. Keeping bulk mail out is what keeps the shared pools' reputation high.
