Compare transactional email services

Viesti relays transactional email, the receipts, password resets, sign-in codes and alerts your app sends, over SMTP and a one-endpoint HTTP API. These pages compare it with Postmark, SendGrid, Mailgun, Amazon SES and Resend, using each vendor's own pricing and documentation.

Who Viesti is for

  • Apps that send mail a user triggered or expects, and can speak SMTP or post JSON.
  • Low to moderate volume on a small budget. The free plan covers 75 emails a day and 2,000 a month with no time limit; the paid plan is $5 a month for 50,000 emails, then $0.10 per 1,000.
  • Senders who want no marketing mail on their IPs. Viesti does not accept marketing mail on any plan, and free and paid workspaces send from separate IP pools.

Who Viesti is not for

  • Newsletters, campaigns, contact lists or scheduled sends. Viesti screens content before relay and rejects or quarantines marketing mail.
  • Open and click tracking or engagement analytics. Viesti adds neither.
  • Delivery webhooks, a status API, stored templates or inbound email. The API has one endpoint, POST /v1/send; delivery status is in the dashboard's Activity log.
  • Official SDKs. You use your language's SMTP library or an HTTP client; the guides show how for common frameworks.
  • Several people on one account. A workspace belongs to the email address that signed in with GitHub or Google; there are no invitations or roles.
  • Mail that must never wait. Screening can hold a flagged message in quarantine until staff review it.
  • Buyers who need published compliance certifications, such as SOC 2, or a choice of sending region. Viesti offers neither.
